Tyler's Dance Class

It's dance from a dying era, but swing is actually
really fun. First we just learned the basic step, then got into
twirls and then aerials. Aerials are just that: dance moves in the
air. Not like flying, but where the guy lifts the girl and then
sets her down.
At first, swing doesn't sound very fun. Especially
not after grinding, hip-hop, and moshing. But it's really a great
form of dance, and it's easy. The more you do it the more fun it
gets, because you learn more moves and eventually develop your own
technique. Tyler helped those of us who didn't know what to do at
first, then while we were dancing scooted around the room on a rolling-cart
thingy. BJ also helped out, teaching while Tyler was at the dentist.
The music wasn't what I'd usually listen
to, but it was the dance that made it so enjoyable. The room was
hot and everybody was sweaty afterwards, but it was well worth it.
I think dance should be offered as a class next year at Satori,
not just a rec time activity.
