Seen:
Linda Stratton, news anchor for Fox News, cutting Mike off in
the middle of his sentence during last night's interview about
Satori. Nobody cuts Mike off! Harrumph!
A multitude of incredible medieval costumes, including jesters,
lords, ladies, loads of chainmail, and one nerd.
Counselors bringing HUGE amounts of soda, chips, and other snack
items in to Streeter late last night. I think we're in for a heck
of a dance this year!
Sharking... and lots of it.
Bob, wearing a rope belt and a beanie with a propeller, enjoying
himself immensely at last night's festivities.
Another large floor sign, this one in pink and reading "Chris
Is Old Too, Eh?", commemorating Chris' birthday. Yes, Courtney
Drake and Grace Chapin (with help from Jeri Kopet) are the "artists"
again, and they do know that his birthday was yesterday, but the
floor wasn't big enough for both sign.
To the dismay of some and to the delight of others... cheerleaders.
Heard:
A personalized rendition of "American Pie", sung to
Mike on his birthday by the talented Steve Porter. That song is
one for the Satori history books!
"Grace, you're a little bit stunning at first." said
Kaille "Honooko" Kirkham to me (Grace!) in Harold class
this morning.
A little bird told me it was Angi Ankrom's 12th birthday today...
feel free to sing!
Since TV involves both picture and sound, this seems to fall
under both categories. All of the campers at Satori would like
to congratulate both Mike and Chris on 1. Becoming old and 2.
Very nice news interviews last night.
Ingested:
Some surprisingly yummy medieval food was ingested by all and
thrown up by none last night. The menu, including ham, ribs, bread,
soup, veggies and Hawaiian Punch (?), was truly one of the best
that the lovely cooks have ever prepared for us.
