Listen my children, and you shall hear
.... the tale of a ghost named Pubert.
Some campers may have noticed strange
goings-on in the elevators in Streeter Hall. For example, empty
elevators opening by themselves, or insisting on stopping at every
single floor, no matter what the destination. Several groups of
new campers were horrified and confused as they witnessed these
bizarre events, crying, "What's going on?!" Little do
these campers know, there is a resident poltergeist haunting the
elevators in Streeter Hall. His name is Pubert.
Pubert first appeared
to Satori campers two years ago, also in Streeter. A lonely, desperate
soul, he attempts to keep people in his company as long as possible
by taking them to floors other than their own. Due to our campers'
love of elevators and elevator games (you know what I'm talking
about), Pubert has been fairly friendly toward Satori, even going
so far as to follow the camp to Morrison Hall last year, and back
to Streeter again this year.
So, as a lesson to
all you new campers out there, remember that Mike's suggestions
about using "please" and "thank you" also
apply to Pubert. When the elevator opens on a floor empty, just
say, "Hi Pubert," or he might start demanding sacrifices.
