I think it is high time to create new idols and legends for Satori camp. There are, of course, Bob, Pubert, and even Tawanka. Bob is the noble and respectable plant, Pubert is the lovable and mischievous haunter of the elevator, and the ever-feared Tawanka will stay forever. Why haven’t there been any more? “The Ricky” and the glorious dance which accompanied it almost made it to legend status, but it was forgotten after two or three years. Have you heard of it? It was a magical paper cut out of Ricky Martin which gyrated and turned in a very unnatural way. People mimicking it looked downright silly. The near incomprehensible saying, “Sausage=Fun” also reached near-legend status, but only lasted a few years. It was before my time, but the saying was still going around in my first few years of camp. These Satori fads come and go, but very few last. Will Ninja Bob be next? Only time can tell. Until then, I challenge you, yes you, to create something which will be remembered for Satori camps to come.
